Back 2006-08-19 So I am finally back. Took me nearly a whole day to upload and name all photos onto Flickr, when I should *really* be packing for Bmore. It is incredibly difficult to shoot landscape and achieve something unique and outstanding. It's a lot more fun to shoot people, especially the locals of China. Actually, I almost got myself beaten up once, trying to shoot a countryside farmer. Needless to say, her picture will not be on Flickr. In China, my dad got me a telephoto lens, an awesome tripod, lens hood and filters. He also had a professional photographer to talk to me a bit about photography. So I have learned to gradually shift away from automatic settings and play around with manual settings, such as Shutter speed priority and Aperture priority. My entire trip itself was truly something special. I calculated the amount of flying I have done from mid June to mid July, and it averages out to be 1.5 hours of flying per day for 30 days. Nevertheless, it was as much a physical as it was an emotional and spiritual journey. If I ever find some free time on my hands in the next few months, maybe I will write about them.
