Day 7: Everything is Connected
2006-11-28

The dorsal mesentery and its associated vessels and nerves. Enough said. Yesterday I mentioned we spent 3 hours cleaning 5 vessels. Apprarently that turned out to be nothing compared to what was in store for us today. Today we did nothing except clean vessels. A huge messy network of vessels. This led me to the conclusion that everything is connected. In life. Or just in the vessels of the abdomen.

To go off on a small tangent: I keep on referring to the abdomen as the stomach or the tummy, and I keep on having to remind myself that I cannot make those kind of references now that I am in medical school! I must learn to distinguish the stomach from the abdominal or the peritoneal cavity. I must grow up now.

I digress, again. Did I ever tell you how much I enjoy wearing scrubs every single day? It is like wearing PJs every minute everywhere. Makes life so simple and beautiful and relaxed. It is the bestest thing since sliced bread.

Yet again, I digress. I found out yesterday that I have made it to Flickr's Explore Interestingness twice. Feeling encouraged. Need to shoot more. Maybe I will take pictures of my wonderful scrubs. Or of how everything is connected. Maybe.
